A few months ago I was contacted by Steve from Wintercroft Masks. He asked if I would like to work on a collaboration with him.1

I had the idea of images inspired by Monsters of the deep. Creatures living in places human being has not yet really discovered. Terrifyingly beautiful animals that survived in blackness yet they formed natural glowing bodies.

Steve ans I had collaborated on last year’s ideas and the result was a scary and emotional theme,  inspired by classics of horror. Organic hand drawn body organs in anatomic acuracy, splatters of blood red paint, guns, smoke and darkness, which were perfect for the Halloween project.

But when we had our initial chat this year, I told him I want a very different feel. To step away from gruesome designs and aim for more unsettling yet beautiful art creations…

That was the moment the adventure started, into unknown depths of creation
